Curriculum

Nursery | Kindergarten

SSIK's curriculum follows the Singapore's education requirements and uses a sensorial and thematic approach in delivering her curriculum while abiding by the 'Learning through Play' concept. Our curriculum provides a variety of experiences that will enhance your child's emotional, social, physical and intellectual development. Learning will not only take place within the boundaries of the classroom, it will also transcend the classroom walls.

This ensures the holistic development of your child, allowing him/her to develop and explore the world at his/her own pace while building his/her self confidence and self worth. Additionally, the bilingual education offered by SSIK in a bilingual environment (chinese as well as international students) ensures that your child will grow up knowing the two languages. SSIK helps hildren who have to return to Singapore to continue their education to catch up with the education system.

With a specially designed curriculum to provide children with a solid learning foundation that would encourage them to use different ways to learn, children will learn to see letters and numbers as part of the enjoyment of exploring and understanding the world around them.

Through the celebration of festivals, sports day and a combined graduation, children will be able to understand local and global culture better, hence allowing for cross-cultural diversity. This opportunity to interact with many other children from other nationalities will help children to boost their confidence and self esteem and also allow for the development of skills such as interpersonal communication skills necessary to be successful in the world. Additionally, they will be able to learn the different points of views of people of various background and heritage, thus enabling them to widen their scope of thinking.

Through the use of fun and play, our programme ensures that your children enjoy their lessons and feel confident about themselves at the end of the day.
